The Kiwanis Club of Big Lagoon strives to fulfill the Kiwanis vision: "Of changing the world, one child and one community at a time."
Through the active participation of our members, we help to educate our children, support our community, and establish ourselves as the premier service organization in the Perdido Bay Community. Here on our web site, you will discover how we work to accomplish this mission and why, in Kiwanis, our motto is, "We Build!"
Since 1984, when we were chartered, we've performed numerous Perdido Bay community service projects: helped to build and maintain Perdido Bay Kid's Park, sponsor the "Reading Is Fundamental Program" in five elementary schools, an active participant in "The Shots for Tots" through the Escambia County Shot Mobile, support the "Reading to Dogs Program" at the Escambia County S.W. Regional Library and Hallmark Elementary School, the sponsoring Kiwanis Club for the Builders Club at Jim Bailey Middle School and the Key Club at West Pensacola Technical High School, fund a Scholarship through "The Excellence in Education" program for a deserving Jim Bailey middle school student, presented a personal dictionary or world atlas to every third grade student in our five elementary schools. These are a few of the service projects on behalf of the children of Perdido Bay and there are many more.
Join us for FUN, FELLOWSHIP and a deep sense of accomplishment by giving back to the community. Big Lagoon Kiwanis provides you with the opportunity to share your experience, knowledge, time and talents in service to others. Here you gain the prestige of Kiwanis Membership, fun and fellowship with a dynamic group of men and women personally involved in making a difference in our community and the world.
